Phantom Blade Zero Weeping Creek progress checklist

Where should you go when the opening area branches?

Use the route toward the red-thread barrier, outpost and tower as your reference. Several side fights and blocked paths sit nearby, so finding an enemy does not automatically mean you have found your next main objective.

The checklist below includes route and boss names. It follows Gamersky’s launch route and Game8’s Against the Flow walkthrough, checked October 29, 2026. These sources use different chapter numbering, so this page refers to landmarks instead.

Which milestones have you finished?

Tick what you have done, or hide completed items to see what remains. Marks stay in this browser, including when you switch between the English and Chinese versions. They are not connected to your game save. Two optional entries are labelled explicitly; leaving them unchecked does not block the story.

Weeping Creek: selected milestones

Saved in this browser. English and Chinese share the same progress.

  1. Use the bell and check the newly revealed part of the map before choosing a branch.

  2. Follow the thread into Broken Puppet Valley and deal with its source.

  3. Check the new weapon reward before moving on.

  4. Return to the courtyard after finding the key; the next route is not just another locked dead end.

  5. Check the Phantom Edge slot and use the new tool on the chained obstruction.

  6. This is a useful reference point before taking the lower optional path.

  7. Collect Scarlet Wraithblade if you choose to take this detour. It is not required just to finish this list’s main route.

  8. Record its nearest bell and visible obstruction. Return after obtaining a suitable Phantom Edge; this is not a full collectible count.

Stuck at the barrier or outpost?

Open only the route detail you need. The notes below contain early-area spoilers.

Red-thread barrier: find the source

Follow the red thread toward Broken Puppet Valley. The launch walkthrough identifies the broken puppet there as the source to deal with before returning to the barrier. The onward route leads toward Jagged Steel, then the outpost.

Outpost: key, prison and the axe

The launch route sends you north to collect the prison key, then back to the courtyard to open the prison. Defeating Peng Meng provides Dread Axe. Use the new Phantom Edge to deal with the chained obstruction rather than continuing to search for another key.

Tower: the optional path beneath it

Near the first-floor bell, descend to the lower route and look for the hole leading farther down. Hua’s arena is beneath the tower. This is a detour for a weapon reward; see the dedicated fight guide before committing to repeated attempts.

What should you leave for a return visit?

The official exploration article explains that Phantom Edges can unlock additional paths. Record a landmark and the type of obstruction when you cannot proceed. Come back after gaining a relevant tool instead of assuming every obstruction has an immediate solution.

This is a shortlist of useful milestones, not a 100% map or a guarantee that no quest can be missed. We have not verified a complete collection route or every quest cutoff.

For combat trouble, return to the beginner guide. To decide whether a detour is worthwhile, compare the early weapon rewards. For the tower’s optional fight, open the Hua guide.
