Phantom Blade Zero Hua guide: location, flowers and reward
Find Hua beneath the Sha-Chi Tower and learn how to read her delayed flowers, homing projectiles and follow-up attacks to earn Scarlet Wraithblade.
Where is Hua, and do you have to fight her now?
Hua, Deadly Betrothed is optional. Her arena sits below the Sha-Chi Tower in Weeping Creek Valley. The launch location guide describes descending the stairs near the tower’s first-floor bell, finding the hole down to the lower route, then following the path to her arena.
If you are still following the main route, use the Weeping Creek checklist first. You do not need to treat every visible boss as the next mandatory objective.
This guide combines the official weapon article, Gamersky’s fight notes and Game8’s Hua guide, checked October 29, 2026. We have not measured her health or tested a minimum-level build.
Which attacks cause the most trouble?
| Cue | Response to practise |
|---|---|
| New red flowers appear on the ground | Leave that patch before the delayed explosion; distinguish fresh hazards from the arena’s background flowers |
| She steps back and a flower ring converges | Move out of the convergence area; release lock-on if it prevents a clear escape |
| White flowers drift toward you | Keep watching Hua: the projectile sequence can be followed by a teleporting attack or grab |
| She appears beside you | Wait for the actual swing rather than dodging solely on the teleport cue |
The white projectiles can be blocked according to Gamersky. Game8 recommends moving away in preparation for what follows. Those are different questions: blocking the flowers does not make the following sword attack or grab disappear. Avoid turning their arrival into an automatic healing window.
When is it safe to attack?
Use a short response after a sequence you recognise, then return to reading her next action. Game8 describes her grab punishing players who remain locked in attack animations. Reducing her Sha-Chi creates a clearer damage opportunity than repeatedly trading hits through a long combo.
If you brought Dread Axe, Game8 reports that a connected charged hit can knock her down. Treat this as an option when you already have an opening, not an instruction to charge in front of every attack. Early weapon sources explains where the axe comes from.
For blue and red cues, review parrying and dodging basics. Gamersky identifies Hua as a puppet immune to bleeding; a bleed-focused plan is therefore a poor match for this encounter.
What does she drop?
The reward is Scarlet Wraithblade, confirmed in the official article. Its combinations create flowers that help hinder enemies. That gives you a new style to try; it is not a reason to discard every other weapon without testing the moves.
Where can you see the combat system in motion?
