Who is Pyro in Monster Hunter Outlanders?

Pyro swings a heavy great sword and is built around taking hits. The official description says he endures attacks and turns that punishment into power, building toward earth-shattering blows with very high burst damage.

What does Pyro’s kit focus on?

• Endures incoming attacks to power up his own moves

What does the Assault class do?

Assault Adventurers are the damage dealers. The official site pairs Assault Adventurers with the Palico, which fights beside them to unleash explosive bursts of damage. Every party can mix classes, so you don’t need four of the same weapon to cover all three roles.

How do you get Pyro?

Named Adventurers are added to your roster through Recruitment, which uses Standard Contracts. Which recruitment pool Pyro appears in, and the rates, will be confirmed when the game launches on October 29, 2026. Pre-registration gives free Standard Contracts — see the codes page.

Which other Adventurers use the Great Sword?
