Radiant Species in Monster Hunter Outlanders: All Confirmed Monsters

What are Radiant species?

Radiant species are monsters that have been corrupted by Radiantite, a mineral found only on Aesoland, the island where Monster Hunter Outlanders takes place. Each one is a familiar series monster with abilities pushed further: stronger breath attacks, more developed venom glands, or new ways to use Radiantite itself as a weapon.

Three things are official so far:

1. They are unique to Aesoland. You won’t find them in other Monster Hunter games.
2. They can enter a frenzied state in battle, as the producers showed at Tokyo Game Show.
3. They give new gear. The official adventure guide says hunting Radiant species lets you forge entirely new equipment, on top of the familiar series gear.

Which normal monsters appear alongside them?

Rathalos and the subspecies Pink Rathian are on the official site in their normal forms. Above all of them sits the flagship Elder Dragon, Ruger Aidal.

What is still unknown?

Weaknesses, drops and how the frenzied state works in detail have not been published. We’ll add them to each monster’s page after testing the hunts from October 29, 2026.
