Radiant Rathian in Monster Hunter Outlanders: Ecology and What We Know

What is Radiant Rathian?

Radiant Rathian is a Radiantite-corrupted Flying Wyvern found only on Aesoland. Officially it has drastically better mobility and more developed venom glands than a normal Rathian, and it has more ways to inject venom into its prey.

What makes the Radiant version different?

Radiant species are monsters corrupted by Radiantite, a mineral found only on Aesoland. The developers said at Tokyo Game Show that Radiant monsters can enter a frenzied state in battle, and the official adventure guide says hunting them lets you forge entirely new gear that the base monsters don’t give. Read the Radiant species overview for the full list.

What is still unconfirmed?

Weaknesses, part breaks, drops and hit-zone data have not been published. We will test the hunt after the October 29, 2026 launch and update this page. Until then, pick a weapon you’re comfortable with from the weapons guide. For general hunting tips, see combat basics.
