What are Buddies in Monster Hunter Outlanders?

Buddies are companions that hunt alongside you. Outlanders has three, and each one is tied to an Adventurer class, so the class you play decides which Buddy fights beside you. Buddies also have their own Buddy Ultimates, powerful skills that sit alongside your Adventurer Ultimate and the squad Co-Op Skill.

What does the Palico do?

The Palico is the series’ familiar cat companion. In Outlanders it travelled to Aesoland with the Adventurers, is skilled with all kinds of weapons and items, and fights beside Assault Adventurers to unleash explosive bursts of damage.

What does the Rutaco do?

The Rutaco is a new species native to Aesoland. It is good with tools and builds devices out of Radiantite. In a hunt it supports Disruptor Adventurers by cleverly using monster traits and the environment to create advantages.

What does the Trillan do?

The Trillan is another Aesoland native and is highly sensitive to sound; the island’s people talk to it through special melodies. It works with Support Adventurers, using sound waves and changes in tone to heal the party and provide other support.

• Rutaco (Disruptor): Keres, Raya, Pepper
• Trillan (Support): Arkaya, Madelyn
