FAQ

Can you reroll in Monster Hunter Outlanders?
Yes, but there is no in-game reset. Each attempt needs a fresh account, and guides report about 40 minutes from the tutorial to your first pulls.
Who is the best reroll target?
Midori, the limited Long Sword adventurer, is ranked first by Game8, GameWith and Dengeki Online. Her featured banner runs until November 27, 2026.

Can you reroll in Monster Hunter Outlanders?

Yes, but it is slow. There is no reset button: you replay the tutorial on a new account each time. PocketGamer notes that the international version needs a separate email address per attempt, and that deleting an account takes 30 days. Game8 Japan and PocketGamer both put one attempt at about 40 minutes; Dengeki Online says nearly an hour before you reach recruitment and does not recommend rerolling at all.

Each region also offers only one server per account, so switching servers is not a shortcut on the international version.

Should you reroll?

Your situation Suggested approach
You want Midori and can spare a few hours Reroll on the featured banner before November 27
You just want to start hunting Skip it; the 50-pull beginner banner guarantees a standard SSR
You already linked pre-registration or web-event rewards to an account Keep that account; a new one will not have them
You are unsure which weapon you like Start playing first. Your hunter can switch between all eight weapons, while each adventurer is locked to one

Before committing, read how pity works: the featured banner guarantees Midori within 120 pulls, so steady play can get her without a reroll.

Who do guides recommend?

Rankings below are as published on November 3–4, 2026. They are each site’s opinion, not GameNavi testing. “—” means the site does not rank that adventurer.

Adventurer Weapon Game8 GameWith Dengeki
Midori (limited) Long Sword SS SS Top pick
Pepper Heavy Bowgun S S —
Rhodes Hammer S B A
Arkaya Lance S A —
Keres Dual Blades S B —
Luka Bow A A A
Pyro Great Sword A B —
Ryunosuke, Luxheart Long Sword, Great Sword B C —

The sources agree on one thing: Midori. Below her they split, especially on Rhodes and Keres. Game8 and GameWith both set the ideal end line as Midori plus Pepper, with Pepper alone as Game8’s minimum. Dengeki notes that Haze cannot be pulled at all and comes from the squad shop instead.

How many pulls does a fresh account get?

Guides do not agree on an exact number. Game8’s own article gives 60–65 in its table and 50–55 in its text. GameWith’s ideal line is 13 pulls on the featured banner plus 27 on the discounted beginner banner. Two parts are consistent across sources:

  • The beginner banner allows 50 pulls in total and guarantees a standard SSR by the 50th. A 10-pull costs 8 Standard Contracts instead of 10.
  • Pulls come from Standard Contracts, Featured Contracts and Rutacoin in your mailbox, including pre-registration milestone rewards that our codes page lists.

How do you reroll, step by step?

  1. Create a character and play the tutorial. Guides suggest the Heavy Bowgun because it is forgiving; you can change weapon later.
  2. Follow the story until the recruitment quest with Raya unlocks the banners.
  3. Claim everything in your mailbox and event rewards.
  4. Pull on the beginner banner with Standard Contracts and on the featured banner with Featured Contracts.
  5. If you missed your target, log out and start again with a different account. If you hit it, bind the account right away.
