Phantom Blade Zero Long Pillars: five locations and access checklist
Find all five Long Pillars, their keys and traversal tools, and the separate Mirage Estate deadline. Track completed trials rather than merely visited locations.
FAQ
Does each valley key open the same door?
Is entering a Long Pillar enough?
Why is my fifth pillar still unavailable?
Do you need all five before entering Mirage Estate?
No: the fifth pillar is inside Mirage Estate. Prepare the earlier four and finish Secrets at the Heart of the Lake before entering; then clear the estate trial before the last bell on Mount Soulrend. A location discovered on the map is not a trial victory. The checklist records wins.
How do you reach each pillar?
| Pillar | Landmark and access condition |
|---|---|
| Weeping Creek Valley | Eastern optional route beyond Long Pillar Overlook’s bridge and cave; Sha-Chi Tower Base Camp Gate Key and Rusted Loong Key are needed |
| Crimson Forest | Beyond Stone Hand Iron Fever, take the right-hand grapple route with Hunter’s Chain Sickle to Mirrorwood Long Pillar |
| Meigu Lake | Sail east to Midlake Long Pillar Dock using the Sha-Chi Powered Boat |
| Four Guardians’ Mirror | Open the mirror realm with four Acolyte Masks; use Dread Axe on the obstacle near the bell |
| Mirage Estate | During The Way Forward, look near Covered Corridor for the Chain Sickle route to a hidden platform |
The two Meigu Lake entries are separate trials. Arriving at the lake’s eastern dock does not complete the mirror-realm requirement. The tool table explains the axe and sickle sources.

All items on this list are checked. This is not a full collection tracker.
Checks stay in this browser and are shared across language versions of this page. They do not read your game save.
What if the Gold-Masked One is too difficult?
The Long Pillar Bell lets you return to the Waking Realm and prepare, then interact with the pillar to retry. Keep an unfinished trial unchecked. Review your current health sets and upgrade materials before spending attempts on a fight you cannot yet read reliably.
We do not give a guaranteed damage build or a universal attack count: this is an access and completion guide. Check the ending guide after the fifth win, including the separate lake tale and its final dialogue.
Where are the two keys for the valley trial?
The gate key and Rusted Loong Key solve different locks. Start at Valley Sha-Chi Tower Summit Bell, climb onto the roof, then use Hunter’s Chain Sickle to reach the top and collect Sha-Chi Tower Base Camp Gate Key. Return to Creek Valley Plains Entrance Bell and open the gate into the optional area.
At Long Pillar Overlook Bell, inspect the chest directly behind the bell for Rusted Loong Key. Cross the bridge and follow the scaffolding and cave route. Use that second key on the locked door; after the enemies, break the barricade at the end of the cave to reach the pillar bell. If you are stuck outside the optional area, searching this cave for another key will not solve the earlier gate.
How can you avoid confusing the two lake trials?
Give them different return notes. Midlake Long Pillar Dock means the eastern lake trial reached by boat. Four Guardians’ Mirror means the separate trial in the realm unlocked by the four masks. For the latter, opening the realm is one step and clearing the obstacle with Dread Axe is another. If the boat has taken you to the east dock, you have not bypassed the mask requirement for the other trial.
| What you have done | What remains |
|---|---|
| Found a pillar | Interact and enter its trial |
| Entered the Discordance | Win the duel; arrival is not completion |
| Returned using the pillar bell | The trial can be retried; leave it unchecked if you withdrew |
| Won the four earlier duels | Reach the estate and clear its separate fifth duel |
What is a useful way to prepare for a retry?
Make each attempt answer one question: which cue did you miss, were you already stuck in an attack animation, or had guarding emptied Sha-Chi? Those lead to different changes. For a missed cue, shorten your own attack sequence so you can see it. For an empty gauge, stop relying on held guard through every string. If the main problem is surviving a mistake, review completed Memory Flower sets before changing weapons again.
These are practice priorities, not hidden trial rules. The encounter is still won in combat; the browser checklist cannot detect that victory. After winning, check the in-game story record and then mark the matching region here.
What should you check before the next stage?
For another playthrough, use the NG+ preparation list before restarting. If you are still exploring, the Mirage Estate return route separates the three Nuo Masks, fifth Long Pillar and post-boss pickup order.
